Lucky socks

This is a picture of what is left of my favorite running socks. I have to tell you that I have worn these socks during my 7 half marathons and I love the. Do you ever have a lucky item that you must run with? I will be at a loss with out this pair.

Loving this quote!

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Thankful for a good run

Thank you Jesus! That is all I have to say. Today, after weeks of injury, I finally had a good run! It was a beautiful day so I decided to hit the park and tackle those stubborn hills that plagued me all winter long. It was just such a great run I haven't had too many of those lately so I really savored this one! The park was also so beautiful too! The only part that honked was that I tried to run the 63 stairs of amphitheater hill. That was hard but I did make it up and down one rep. The next time I will increase it to two reps.

I am so greatful for this run!

Week Two Post Injury

So here starts week 2 of post injury workouts. I had a glorious training session with my physical therapist today. She really worked my body. Lauren has a way with getting her elbow ( I know crazy) right where the knot of my IT Band seems to lie. It always seems better after it has been worked on! Completed a 2.2 mile walk run today. Tom came out and is trying to take a stab at running. He runs way faster than me :)
